Background

The client is a government organization in Finland responsible for funding innovation, trade and, investment promotion and travel. T&A Consulting was appointed as the Knowledge Partner for their Talent Boost programme in India. Talent Boost is a national initiative of the Finnish government aimed at attracting international talent and improving their employment prospects in the country.

Objective

The main goals were:
  • To make Finland more appealing for Indians as a place to study and work, using social media.
  • To create and execute digital media campaigns to promote the annual webinar series 'Future is Made in Finland.'
  • To establish a community of Indians who have experience either studying or working in Finland.

Solution Offered

T&A Consulting's Digital Media team implemented the following solutions:

  • Social Media Presence: Since there was no dedicated social media page for Indians by the client, T&A Consulting proposed to regularly post content on their own LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook pages.

  • Webinar Promotion: The team promoted the 'Future is Made in Finland' webinar series using social media, email marketing, and paid ads.

  • Alumni Community Building: Over three months, T&A Consulting identified and mapped Indian alumni who had experience in Finland. They proposed creating a LinkedIn group to share news, job prospects, and alumni events.

  • Online Engagement: The Digital Media team actively participated in various LinkedIn and Facebook groups and forums, sharing content to promote study and work opportunities in Finland.

  • Newsletter Inclusion: T&A Consulting included a section in their Education Newsletter, 'The Career Dispatch,' for promoting Finland.

Outcome for the Client

  • Social Media Success: With over 20,000 followers, the client's social media channels reached an average of 13,000+ individuals monthly. Engagement averaged at 5%, and the Click-Through Rate was 3%.

  • Webinar Registrations: Through social media and email marketing, an average of 9,000 registrations were achieved for the 'Future is Made in Finland' webinar series.

  • Email Marketing Impact: The Email Marketing campaign for the Education Newsletter achieved an average Click Rate of 28%, providing extensive reach within the education community.

  • Active Alumni Community: The LinkedIn alumni group remains active, with members posting content weekly.
